What does it look like for the church to care for the whole person?
Human suffering and healing are complex. As Christians, we believe healing involves more than one dimension of who we are. Join Oaks Ministry Collaborative for an interactive evening exploring how faith, mind, and body can be understood and integrated in the healing process.
We’ll consider how biblical truth, prayer, emotional awareness, and an understanding of the brain and body can work together without competing with one another.
The evening will include:
- A biblical foundation for holistic healing and why integration matters for the church
- The connection between the brain, body, thoughts, and emotions, with practical concepts drawn from trauma-informed therapeutic approaches
- Restorative Prayer and spiritual healing, including forgiveness, speaking truth to lies, and spiritual freedom
- Interactive opportunities to practice integration and process what you’re learning
Integration Without Erasing Difference
A key theme throughout the evening will be that unity does not require eliminating difference or diversity. Instead, we can learn to recognize how different dimensions of healing can work together while remaining grounded in biblical truth.
Who Is This For?
This training is designed for church staff, elders, ministry leaders, and volunteers—whether you are already part of an Oaks partner church or simply interested in learning more. *No clinical background is required.*
